| Mao's Plea |
Today I wake up
to the sound of pouring snow.
It was thou Mao-Tse-Tung,
I remember.
Thy madness in disguised form of reform
full of chaos and fury,
Which at this time for thee
signifies nothing.
Thou butchered not only
mine race...
but thine too.
And now thou lay
there crying in the grave
mourning and repenting…
for it is too late.
Thou not only raged mortals
but Nature too…
and now thou face nature's rage
that chill thy bones
giving thee sleepless night,
even in the grave.
And the blood of innocents
which is unfathomable
drowns thee...
and cries of innocents…
pierce thy ear
making thee deaf.
In such circumstance,
thou shout and scream
to tell the ultimate fate
to thy fellow men
but all thine effort
goes in vain.
I heard it all and Mao’s pleas.
So, here am I
to reveal and to convey
Mao's pleas to thee...
thee fellow beings of his.
Don't let Tibetan's effort go in vain.
Otherwise thou will realize
in the grave...
Thy life was spent in vain.

THE VOTE OF THANKS BY SECRETARY OF CST ALUMNI ASSOCIATION-DARJEELING |
The Alumni Association would not have been in viable position, nor would the aims and objectives enshrined in the Association’s resolution been realized, if it had not been for the moral and financial support channelized by the alumni chapters spread across the world. Within a period of four years since its inception in 2007, we were able to donate a mini truck which has been widely used to transport drinking water to the school from the nearby spring to tide over the Darjeeling water crisis, assisted in arranging teachers to supervise the morning self study for day scholars, maintained the upkeep up school garden, replaced the old Public with a multi-facility one and restored the school’s auditorium stage for the Golden Jubilee Celebration. Though the tenure of the current executive members has come to an end, the outgoing board would, with the same zeal and enthusiasm, certainly like to share our experiences and lend our full support to the new executive members to further our common goal. All in all, the success of our activities has been made possible by contributions from donors who are former teachers, students, and from alumni chapters across the exile diasporas, couple with our team work and spirit under able guidance and direction of the Alumni President- Ven. Ngawang Tenzin Gyatso.
We are thankful to the school’s authorities, the Principal and the Rector, the two pillars of school for their co-operation and assistance in our joint venture in organizing for the school’s Golden Jubilee celebration. We are equally indebted to the different organizing committees for their unwavering supports in making this event a memorable one, which will be cherished by everyone for years to come. Last but not the least, Our profound thanks go out to all the participants who had come from all four corners of the world, from near and far, together at GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION as members of one family. |

THANK YOU TO GAN (SIR) NORBU CHOEPHEL LA |
The CSTD Alumni Association would like to express deep sense of gratitude to Gan Norbu Choephel la, a former teacher of this school since 1961 until his departure to another school. He has kindly donated Rs.2, 50,000.00 (Rupees two lakh and fifty thousand only) through our president, Ven. Ngawang Tenzin Gyatso, to the alumni association, to meet the expenses towards the forthcoming Golden Jubilee programs. Besides, he had sent us some rare documents of the school dating from 1961, reflecting in the register - names of former students, their admission numbers and results, together with a number of old photos and books accumulated by him about other different schools, where he had served as a teacher. All his souvenirs would be exhibited during the Golden Jubilee anniversary. We will remember him and his family members for the thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity shown to his alma mater. |
|
THANK YOU TO MRS. NORZIN NORBHU FOR THE DONATION: |
The alumni association would like to offer sincere gratitude to Mrs. Norzin Norbhu, the administrator of Himalayan Nursery School, Darjeeling, for the donation of Rs.50,000.00 (Rupees fifty thousand only) for the preparation of Golden Jubilee celebration. She has applauded the association for the yeoman’s services that the alumni members are contributing towards the alma mater round the clock. Madam was the first volunteer teacher of the school in the early sixties. The then students fondly called her “Acha la” for her caring and affection to the new arrivals from Tibet and taught them the three ‘Rs, basic moral values, healthy living and clean surrounding, and basic crafts to girl students. |

| Alumnis' Outlook |
CST Darjeeling is the institution that helped me find my wings to fly over the vast sea of uncertainty with some degree of confidence and intelligence. It was at this institution where I was first confronted with the real self that was incompetent but later with the guidance of teachers and the learning environment had made me realized the actual meaning of my life. It gave me a sense of responsibility and guided me towards my goal; it sharpens my focus and encourages me to excel myself to the fullest of my potential.
Honestly at the time of my departure there was lots of positivity in me about my coming future, and wherever I went I never felt myself lacking in any aspect, I was totally at ease in all respect, because basic foundation that was laid at this institution was more than strong enough to withstand any test of time. I did well wherever I went, I left an impact wherever I visit, I made good friends and I was very comfortable at it. All that we practice at CST Darjeeling were actually design carefully to create a better human being.
This is the school where I spent the most beautiful days of my life and although I may not have become what this institution would want me to, but whatever I learn in the process had made me a better human. So I owe a lot to this school. Thank you CST Darjeeling.

Oh, it feels so good to be back, dipping back in the memories that were so long gone, almost diminishing to nothing when the site of our hall all brought back those long gone thoughts and instantly refreshed me. Though i just studied there for 4 years, my strongest memories of my school life is always lies with CST Darjeeling. There i made some unforgettable friends and of course it is where my elder Brother and Sister studied, hence, we have a strong family background as well.
Last but not the least, when i first saw the school hall, I could not help but see myself swinging the rock hard Tingmo's from the hall window to the pretty ladies down there fluttering their blue skirt into the chilly Darjeeling weather.
This is a great alumni to gather all the withered ex-CSTians.
