CURRENT NEWS (updated on 19th June 2009)
b CST, DARJEELING TOPS THE CLASS XII EXAMINATION:  
  The school is proud of topping the class XII (All India Senior Secondary School Examinations)
amongst the schools of CST in India. The Association extends its congratulation to the Principal and the staff for their dedication and hard work for producing the quality and quantity result. Keep it up the same spirit!
 
 
 
b THANK YOU TO ALL SPONSORS:  
  The Association would like express sincere gratitude to all sponsors who contributed donation to buy the Mini truck Water Tanker to solve the very long standing problem of water crisis in school. Your generous would help the students studying in this school to have sufficient potable water from nearby spring sources and will definitely enhance the healthy and hygienic living. Hopefully, we propose to handover the Truck to the school’s Principal on the eve of H.H. the Dalai Birthday on 6th July 2009. The following are donors for this noble mission of water project:

b Cyclone 'AILA' also Sweep across the School and caused damaged:  
  The torrential rain caused landslides along main passage to the senior block and Girl’s dormitory piled up the mudflow on the main football ground, also the damaged the main septic tank and its feeder from the sub septic tank sewer of girl’s toilet, which overflowed and foul spread the neighboring locality drew the complained by the inhabitants and also the landslides from the slope of beneath the football ground blocked the road leading to Tibetan Refugee Self Health Centre. All the staff and student under the supervision of the Principal and Rector had put up all efforts to remove the debris and piled up the sand sacks from the further damage temporarily.  
 
 
b Electricity Line and Connection in the main dias of School Hall was completed.  
  The President of Alumni Association, Darjeeling had bore all the expenses for revamping new electrical lines which was earlier haphazardly connected and there was every chances of short circuit at that point of time. Initially, requested amount was Rs 10,000/-However, the actual expenses incurred was exceeded more than Rs.20,000/- has also been given by him. Since then, school could able to hold all activities with the perfect fitting of lights and also the same dais have been utilized for the community programs from time to time, for which the Principal, staff and students would like to say “Thank You” to the President of Alumni, Ven. Ngawang Tenzingla for his act of kindness and generosity.  
 
 
b THANKS TO VEN. JIGME RINPOCHE FOR THE DONATION OF RS. THREE LAKHS FOR THE WATER PROJECT:  
  Immense of thanks to Ven. Jigme Rinpoche, Repa Monastery, Jerang Camp No:4, P.O: Chandidrgiri,
Orissa for his prompt response to our plea towards the water project knowing the gravity of water crisis facing by the students in the school, for which he generously donated Rs. 3,00000/- to enable us to meet the final payment to buy the Mini Truck Water Tank on time. The Alumni Associations would like to send him a special thanks giving letter in due course of time unfailingly.
 
 
 
b NEW SESSION OF CLASS XI (Arts and Commerce) WILL RESUME FROM 27th June 2009:  
  The issue of New Admission form and rules pertaining to admission to the class XI had already been put up on school’s notice board a week ago. Also the names of successful candidates after the interview are also being displayed on the board, such test and interview were conducted for candidates who hails from non CST school. However, students who passed the Class X from CST are given admission directly as per guidelines of CTSA, Delhi.  
 
 
b ALUMNI EXECUTIVE MEMBERS MEETING:  
  Almost all the members of Executive had a meeting on 14th June at Manjhushri Centre for Tibetan Culture Gandhi Road. The agenda on the meeting focused on the review of the previous action plan, settlement of accounts for the last six months, finalization on the procurement and purchasing of mini truck water carrier, immediate areas where the association can help the school, handing over the truck to the school with terms and condition and then concluded with to hold next meeting about the date of handing over.  
 
 
b MAHINDRA PIK UP-MINI WATER TRUCK PURCHASED FROM AUTHORISED DEALER:  
  The President, Vice President and Secretary had made a trip to Siliguri on 16/06/2009 to purchase the most awaited mini truck at the best within the allocated budget to realize the dream come true. It was bought from authorized dealer –Ravi Auto Limited, 2nd Mile, Sevoke road, Sililgure. The actual cost of of mini truck is Rs. 4,74,886/- (Four Lakh seventy four thousand Eight hundred Eighty six only), Also body coating paint and bought the capacity of 2500 litres of water container (Sintex) and a few accessories required for the truck costing around Rs 5,00000/-( Rupees five lakh)  
 
 
b WATER PIPE LINES CONNECTED TO MAIN RESEVOIR OF SCHOOL:  
  Out of the donated fund for the water crisis, about two main water pipelines about 3” diameter have been laid along the slope of mall road facing to the school till the main two main water reservoirs of school. This would facilitate pumping out the water from the Mini truck water carrier in short period of time and also saves the time from manual work of doing the same process.  
     
Principal's Message    
In this present trend of globalization, one cannot afford to tread on the path of life as a lone figure. One cannot remain aloof from his civilization and society.
I am, therefore, extremely pleased by the founding of the Central School for Tibetans, Darjeeling Alumni Association which aims to bring the ex-students of the School back to their Alma Mater.Nearing its Golden Jubilee, the School has witnessed great a many events, undergone progressive changes and cared and groomed thousands of students who have finally left the school to live on their capabilities and make their own destinies...more
           
 
 




President's Message    
Many a times we have dwelled upon the past, lived on the memories of our “ golden school days” when care , caution and concern were just strangers to us.
It was during those innocent carefree school life we had cemented our lifelong friendship and learned the rudimentary skills needed for life. Travelling down varied memory lanes makes us sometimes feel nostalgic, chokes the throat and eyes swell with  tears while sometimes they create an aura of laughter around us. We even long to hear those funny nicknames which earlier made us blush or angry but now they bring a wide smile to our faces.
