The main points stressed by most speakers were (i) how hard they all worked in the past under the dedicated staff many of whom played the role of the parents in the absence of parents as most of them were either orphan or had parents in distant places. (ii) How poor the facilities were for instance they had their first food served in polythene and slept on floor sharing blankets. The dal was full of pebbles and tingmos so hard with rope of sacks . Yet all studied hard with a main objective of getting back Tibet from Chinese. (iii) Some expressed their deep regret in life for not taking study seriously so advised the present students not to repeat the mistakes. (iv) Some of them expressed their view that students who have been to Tibetan schools not only have succeeded in life but are richer in ones culture like understanding of Buddhism, respecting elders and parents .
