On 19th October, the First Annual General Body of CST Alumni Association, Darjeeling was held with inviting Mr Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, Senior Deputy Magistrate as the Chief guest, the Principal and the Rector as the guest of honors. Around more than hundred ex-students had attended this meeting.

The programs started with the offering of lamp and scarf to the portrait of H.H the Dalai Lama by the chief guest and guest of honors. Thereafter the School song was presented, followed by the President's key note address to the august gathering. Also speeches by the Vice President, Mr. Dorjee Tsetenla on the history of Alumni formation and Joint Secretary, Mr. Dharshan Thapa highlighted the aims and objectives of association.

The Chief guest is also chairman of Local Advisory Committee of the school. He had delivered his speech about the need and importance of such alumni for the promotion and development of school as well as to bring all the ex-students together to develop the sense of fellow feeling, cooperation and acquaintances.

After the speech by the chief guest, exotic and entertaining cultural programs were presented by the students of the school as a gesture of their love and appreciation to the audience of ex-students with the help of Mrs Sonam Choedon for her directing and short listing the best items presented.

In the process of program, all the PROs( Mr. Tashi Dhondup and Mr. Subash Tamang) had discharged their best in collecting the membership fees as well as for the completion of registration works. Also Joint Secretary, Mrs S. Choedon and Asstt. Treasurer Mrs. Passang Dolma had arranged the serving of Tea in the midst of program and Lunch for attendants of meeting

The principal of school applauded the successful assignments carried out by the executive members for the just cause of school and students welfare with the help ex-students members in India and from abroad as well. He also appreciated the members for channelling their rich experiences to make the alumni association a model for the upcoming new members to be elected after the tenure of the present term.

The Rector also applauded the executive members in the same note by wishing all the very success for the ongoing works being carried by the association. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Tsering Norbula, treasure for all the members for their dedication and hard work as one team with one spirit for the execution of works successful till now. Also he expressed his sincere thanks to the members of Alumni based at New York for their contribution towards the alma-mater. The master of ceremony for the program was executed by Mr Tsetan Phuntsok, General Secretary with assuring the members to do its best to achieve the very aims and objectives of alumni association.
