Message from the Principal, CST Darjeeling
principalIn this present trend of globalization, one cannot afford to tread on the path of life as a lone figure. One cannot remain aloof from his civilization and society.I am, therefore, extremely pleased by the founding of the Central School for Tibetans, Darjeeling Alumni Association which aims to bring the ex-students of the School back to their Alma Mater.

Nearing its Golden Jubilee, the School has witnessed great a many events, undergone progressive changes and cared and groomed thousands of students who have finally left the school to live on their capabilities and make their own destinies.

The Primary objective of the Association should be to act as a medium where ex-students can converge and re-establish contact with long lost acquaintances and interact with the new blood of the School. They can pass on their knowledge, experiences and golden advices to the present batch of students while discovering their memories and images of their youth.

The Association can also act as one of the platforms from where alumni members can express their gratitude to the school in the form of services such as voluntary teaching, addressing the students or even financially, all of which I, as Principal, welcome and also appreciate from the core of my heart.

The contributions of the first and present executive members of the Association are commendable. They had drafted the Association’s Charter, succeeded in the registration of the Association to give it a legal legibility and have created this website for the Association. I would really like to put forward my sincere congratulations to all the members.

I would take the opportunity to encourage all ex-students to register themselves as valuable members of the Association and extend all possible contribution to the Association.

Alumnis' Outlook

kalsang DakpaCST Darjeeling is the institution that helped me find my wings to fly over the vast sea of uncertainty with some degree of confidence and intelligence. It was at this institution where I was first confronted with the real self that was incompetent but later with the guidance of teachers and the learning environment had made me realized the actual meaning of my life. It gave me a sense of responsibility and guided me towards my goal; it sharpens my focus and encourages me to excel myself to the fullest of my potential.

Honestly at the time of my departure there was lots of positivity in me about my coming future, and wherever I went I never felt myself lacking in any aspect, I was totally at ease in all respect, because basic foundation that was laid at this institution was more than strong enough to withstand any test of time. I did well wherever I went, I left an impact wherever I visit, I made good friends and I was very comfortable at it. All that we practice at CST Darjeeling were actually design carefully to create a better human being.

This is the school where I spent the most beautiful days of my life and although I may not have become what this institution would want me to, but whatever I learn in the process had made me a better human. So I owe a lot to this school. Thank you CST Darjeeling.

Oh, it feels so good to be back, dipping back in the memories that were so long gone, almost diminishing to nothing when the site of our hall all brought back those long gone thoughts and instantly refreshed me. Though i just studied there for 4 years, my strongest memories of my school life is always lies with CST Darjeeling. There i made some unforgettable friends and of course it is where my elder Brother and Sister studied, hence, we have a strong family background as well.

Last but not the least, when i first saw the school hall, I could not help but see myself swinging the rock hard Tingmo's from the hall window to the pretty ladies down there fluttering their blue skirt into the chilly Darjeeling weather.

This is a great alumni to gather all the withered ex-CSTians.
